So here’s what the merry month of March has looked like in terms of list items…
Visit Brad and Emily: We have dates and need to book flights. I can’t wait!
Reach out to my friends: I’ve had (or will have had, as of tomorrow) a couple great opportunities to visit old friends and even make new ones this month and will be sharing more details next week.
Host Fakesgiving: It’s tomorrow, guys! Come! I have a turkey all trussed up and ready to go in the oven first thing in the morning!
Bake something new each month: I made this double chocolate banana bread twice and it is divine. Do yourself a favor and get some overripe bananas asap.
Try five new-to-me foods: I ate a horned melon. It was kinda weird, but in a good way.
Grow a more successful garden: There are tiny sprouts all over but I don’t dare get my hopes up yet. I need to thin out the carrots and keep an eye on things. We’ll see…
Move the girls into the pink room: When my cousin’s husband crashed with us while he toured the local universities, we bumped Mila in with Margot so he could have his own room. They’ve been sharing a room ever since and for the most part it’s working well.
Finish our family photo gallery wall: This is done! I just need to show you pictures!
Post regularly to Tipsaholic and the Beesley Project: I actually haven’t submitted anything to Tipsaholic in ages (sorry Cass!) but one of my older posts went up the other day. It’s about not-awful kids’ music and I’m quite pleased with it. As for Beesley stuff, you should swing by and read my post about “The Lord Is My Shepherd” today…or tomorrow. Depends on when I get it written. (Oops.) I usually post every Friday and you can find all my work here.
I only posted here a handful of times this month but I was certainly busy making stuff happen in real life. Funny how things ebb and flow like that. Plus there was impetigo and pink eye and now a lovely cold (I think). It’s been a long month.
April should be lovely, though, as we’ve got a trip to the midwest planned, Easter to think about, and a certain fat baby is turning one. Sigh. It seems like just yesterday I was wetting my pants in the middle of a craft store…
