That’s right, y’all. Yesterday she was a fairy. Today she’s professional wrestler, actor, television personality, and musician (really??) Terry Gene Bollea. What can I say? We’re raising a renaissance woman.
First we cut the sleeves and hem off a yellow t-shirt.
Then I hand-lettered the Hulkamania logo with a couple of sharpies, as seen above.
I found this beauty at Goodwill:
…and let’s be honest. Nobody knows what Poly Earth Day 2011 means, nor will they buy and wear this ugly tie-dyed shirt, so I didn’t feel even a little bit bad about turning the back of it into a bandana.
She put on her red pirate shoes and some yellow shorts (also from Goodwill), I used one of the chopped-off sleeves for the finishing touch which David taped to her upper lip, and voila! Mini Hulk Hogan!
Best. Costume. Ever.
I kept squealing in delight because it’s just so hilarious and precious and maybe a little bit inappropriate but I don’t even care.
And I tell you what, brother: either she we are the worst parents ever and she is going to hate us for this some day, or we are the coolest parents ever and she will get a kick out of this when she’s old enough to understand what’s going on.
I’m leaning toward the latter.
t-shirt: $3
shorts: $2
t-shirt turned bandana: $3
shoes: already owned
total cost: $8
i love it. -shelby
Me too, dude. Me too.
Best.Costume.Ever! Seriously it's so creative and so close to reality. 🙂 Can't wait to see the others.
It's that blonde hair. We can't not take advantage of it!
hahahahahahahahahaha. I seriously can't stop laughing. She looks cute even in a boy costume! You guys are hilarious.
Thank you. Thank you. We'll be here all night.
It will definitely be the latter. This ensemble is way to genius not to appreciate.
I sure hope so. I will have failed as a mother if she doesn't someday realize how rad it is.

And we're nothing over here if not classy.
