I was out watering the flowers the other day (which, by the way, are flourishing!) when I caught the faint melody of a familiar song. My ears strained to make out what it could be, and after a few moments I realized it was something by The Decemberists. I looked up and down the street at different neighbors’ houses, then at an unfamiliar car parked nearby, wondering where it could be coming from and who in my neighborhood had such great taste in music.
The purplish ones I mentioned last time |
And then I realized I’d left my laptop near the front window with iTunes playing on random. The “The Legionnaire’s Lament” was coming from inside the house.
It shouldn’t have surprised me that I was the one with great taste in music. Silly Jen.
When Mila hears the bassets next door she perks up and says, “Daw? Daw?” It’s super cute. |

What is the story behind the necklaces? I saw your niece wearing one too, I think? It's pretty cute.
Jen says
They're amber teething necklaces. My sister-in-law got them for the girls. Supposedly the amber is soothing…but even if they don't work, they are pretty cute.
