Since it’s always nice to see one’s progress toward meeting goals, here’s an rundown of the list items I’ve worked on over the last month.
Hang art and photos on the walls: We actually put some nail holes in the walls and got some art hung up in the living room. Photos still to come.
Finish Mila’s bedroom: I’ve finally made some decisions about Mila’s bedroom and am excited to share
things with you as they come together. Quilt fabric will be in the mail soon!
Incorporate more vegetarian meals into my repertoire: We had these super easy and delicious roasted veggie and black bean burritos the other night. Even our resident male carnivore said he wouldn’t mind eating them again. It’s a start, at least! (Next time: chipotle chili powder and pepper jack cheese. Yum.)
Reconnect with some old friends: Kelli (and her friend JJ) stopped in town a week or two ago on a short layover and we were able to knock out another goal while she was here..
Eat at 5 new-to-me restaurants: We went to Essence Bakery, where we spent a couple hours chatting and enjoying a delicious late breakfast. It’s in our old neighborhood and was a place I’d
always wanted to try but just never got around to it. WHAT WAS I
THINKING? They have the best hot chocolate of my life, plus all kinds of little French pastries and sweets. I’ll be going there again for sure.
Bake 30 cakes: We’re 4 cakes in and going strong. Woo!
Take weekly photos of both babies: Mila Monday is still going strong. Baby #2 will have to wait another couple months to get regular camera time.
Svithe once a month (at least): January’s svithe can be found here in case you missed it.
Progress is being made, even if I don’t have photographic evidence of all of it. I do, however, have this lovely shot of my daughter in her new favorite hat, a bib she put on backwards (because, as she told me, it’s a cape), and some too-big pajamas. Goodness, I love that little ragamuffin.

Can I get the pattern for the gnome hats? Isaac outgrew his, and he was totally crushed! Methinks I need to knit him up a new one.

Oh my gosh! She is so precious! Can't wait to meet baby #2!
