This peachy hibiscus lives in our front yard.
When we moved in we had a pink one as well, but it died of frostbite the first winter we were here. We haven’t treated this one any differently than we did the pink one, but it is thriving the way pinky never did. I think it’s because it is right up next to the house, which protects it from too much sun and too much cold.`
A hummingbird stopped by while I was taking these shots and stared at me
like, ” Get out the way lady. I’m trying to have some breakfast. Rude.” I was sad he flew away before I could get a shot of him too.
We are at a reunion with David’s family this week at a ranch in northern Arizona. Lots of cousins and no wi-fi. It’s always nice to unplug for a while, but I know I’ll be ready to catch up on my interwebs when I get back. Until then, here are a few things you might enjoy.
Donut recipes keep grabbing my attention. One of these days I’ll break down and attempt to make some instead of just hitting the Krispy Kreme drive-through.
I’d like to do something like this on the walls of our patio. Would that be weird? Maybe we should finish the kitchen before I start planning more construction projects anyway.
I strongly identify with this way of being. Although, as David pointed out, the word “wobbly” is a little misleading. It implies that we are pushovers. We’re not. We are moderate. We stand firm when we need to but aren’t afraid to admit we aren’t sure about something. Are you a wobbly?
This video of Christopher Walken dancing isn’t new but it’s one of my favorites when I need a pick-me-up.
I’ve needed a few of those this week. Lucky for me I can usually just look at this picture of Margot and everything seems a little bit better.
Hope you all have a great weekend. See ya when we get back!
