Once upon a time, some friends and I held a spring feast. We discovered that somehow we had two turkeys and a ham between us. We cooked ’em up (along with some of your standard Thanksgiving fixings), invited everyone we knew, and threw a party.
We called it Fakesgiving. It was awesome.
We had so much fun that we hoped to make it an annual tradition, but shortly after that time everyone started going separate ways. I think I moved away first, actually. Now we’re scattered all over the country and it’s unlikely that we could all reconvene for a Fakesgiving reunion.
However, that is no reason why Fakesgiving shouldn’t live on. And so I’ve taken it upon myself to host the first annual Arizona edition of Fakesgiving!
We’ll celebrate friends, food, and the glorious weather before it gets too hot for cooking turkeys and having back yard parties.
If you would like an invitation with more details, leave a comment here or send me an email. We’d love to have you join us. Yes, you, with the great hair! I’ll save you a slice of pie!
