This month was not quite as productive as January was, but I was still able to make some good headway on my list. Here’s what I’ve done since my last monthly update:
Plant a garden: We built a little raised bed and bought some seeds, but we still haven’t planted anything. David’s had some busy weekends lately with work, and I want it to be a family activity. The current plan is to do it on Saturday.
Hang art and photos on the walls: Our living room walls are no longer naked. The rest of the house is still bare, though. Progress is slow around here.
Eat at 5 new-to-me restaurants: David and I went on a date just last night, thanks to his sister Liz’s kind offer to babysit. We hit up Liberty Market in downtown Gilbert and it definitely hit the spot. I got the Arizona Sky sandwich and David got the Liberty Joe, but I’d like to go again sometime and try one of their burgers.
Bake 30 cakes: I’m averaging a cake a week. Some have been more successful than others, but it’s been fun to experiment. It’s also becoming a bit of an obsession. I have a couple cakes in queue that I’m really excited to try out, but I’m trying to exercise a bit of self-control and not bake them all at once.
Attend some local events: Thanks to a little coaxing from Lydia, I went to that blogger meet-up last week. I don’t know why I’m such a homebody; I really do enjoy getting out and spending time with cool people. Thanks again to Camille and Katie for putting that together!
Svithe once a month: February’s svithe can be found here in case you missed it. (And if you’re unfamiliar with svithes in general, I refer you to Thmazing Theric, who coined the term and inspired me to write my own [even if I don’t adhere to the “one day in seven” definition].)
I was worried that I’d have to take a break as my due date gets closer. However, the weather has been beautiful (and isn’t showing signs of changing any time soon which is fantastic!) which make me want to go out and do things, plus my nesting instinct is kicking into high gear. I may actually cross a lot more items off the list in March than I anticipated.
…and now I’ve jinxed myself. Watch me be on bed rest in a week and have the baby early. Is it too late to knock on wood?
