Hi friends! It’s me, Amelia.
My mom’s kinda tired today, on account of I woke up lots and lots last night. It was all dark in my room but I didn’t care. I wanted to play. Sleeping is boring. Playing is fun!
So I was like, “Hey mom! Mom! MOM! Come here and I will blow bubbles and tell you stories and pull your hair and it will be awesome!”
But every time she was like, “Whoa, dude. Whoa. It’s still night time. I’m not playing with you. You’re s’posed to be all sleepy.”
And she kept going on and on about how she needed to get some rest because I’m all exhausting or whatever. So I just had some snacks and went back to bed. Because I’m a good girl like that.
But do you want to know a secret? Come here, let me tell you.
It really doesn’t matter how many times I wake her up in the night. All I have to do is make this face and my mom forgets how tired and grumpy she is and laughs at me every time!
Isn’t that a cool trick? What’d I tell you? I’m a precious evil genius.

I LOVE Amelia story time. It's my favorite.

There is nothing that sends me into weeping fits of rage faster than being woken in the wee hours by a totally perky baby. Luckily Adam was home the last time it happened and just convinced me that I should go play with Hyrum, so I did. It wasn't that bad.
And I'm with Kelli Nicole. I love Amelia stories.

Oh Ameilia, you delight me with your stories. And your smile. And your drool. And your blue eyes. And your darling striped shirt. And. . . . . . .

Kelli: I'll ask her if she's up for telling stories more often, just for you. 🙂
LJ: Amen. I want to put her in time out when she does it. Because that would totally work. *eyeroll*
Mom: Come play with us!!!
