Last night I got maybe 4 hours of sleep.
Part of that was because David got his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. He’s halfway to being mostly immune to COVID-19! Yay! Appointments were hard to come by when he scheduled his, so he wound up driving all the way out to Glendale for an 11PM shot. Worth it. Can’t wait till it’s my turn.
Anyway, he left around 10:30. The baby woke up around 11 to eat. David came home around midnight. Then at 1-ish, someone crashed their car into a neighbor’s block fence and just…ran off down the alley. It was wild. I still need to go see the damage. And then of course the baby, who has been sleeping all night lately, woke up again at 2. So I didn’t really fall asleep until 2:30 or so.
And so I am tired.
Reader, this is why I do not journal daily. Mostly it would be boring boring, interrupted by events that are only interesting to me, and lots of complaining that I would like to take a nap. Boring is good, as my mom says, but doesn’t make for great reading material.
Funny how time passes, and it mostly looks the same, until suddenly it doesn’t.
