This girl, with her bedhead and jammies. She seems so grown up lately.
I think she’s got some ambivalence about kindergarten starting soon. Anxiety for the unknown. Excitement for new friends and experiences. We’re keeping things as low-key as possible right now, but every so often her emotions get the best of her. Growing up is hard.
At least she’s still got her bossy big sister status on lock. Some things never change.
Like the little sister who happily complies with requests to “keep twirling.”
I’ve got to get this kid in a dance class. She is such a performer, singing and dancing all. The Time.
She’s got a natural flair for the dramatic. Sometimes that’s fun. Sometimes.
And this goose-feathered boy just gets more and more delightful every day.
He gives me big open-mouthed kisses on my chin, has started “singing” and bopping his head to music he likes, and makes this funny chuckly noise when he’s eating something he likes. Cracks me up every time. This is the age when I start thinking maybe I want ALL THE BABIES.
But I think we’ll stick to the ones we’ve got for now. They’re pretty great.
