This is called a coral fountain.
I’ve been trying to get decent shots of one in bloom for months now and finally decided these ones will be sufficient. It’s just so hard to get tiny flowers in focus with an iPhone without using a macro lens.
For example, I squatted awkwardly in the rocks by the library to take these. The girls were very patient with me, quietly eating graham crackers while passersby pretended not to see their mama getting all weird with the landscaping.
Somehow I’m no longer embarrassed by stuff like that. Does that mean I’ve let myself go or that I’m winning at life? You decide.

I really don’t have much for you this week. Not that I haven’t read some really interesting articles, but I haven’t been very good about saving them to share. It’s been kind of nice to take some time off after the whirlwind that was Marriage Month.
That said, I still have a couple interviews I’d like to share with you. I’ll be spacing them out over the next little while so it’s not a punch to the face like last month was. If you’d like to contribute a post, let me know and I’ll send you the questionnaire! I have loved getting a peek into so many marriages and learning some new perspectives and strategies to make mine better.
Speaking of which, if you aren’t following along with Tausha’s Love Dare series, you should. She asked a bunch of bloggers to take a day each, and for forty days they are sharing a verse of scripture and a related challenge. The goal is to strengthen marriages, which is something you know I can get behind. Evidently there’s a movie about it but I’ve never seen it. I am, however, loving the challenges and will be sharing my own post later…I think on day 30. Click over to Tausha’s blog to catch up on week 1 and follow along.
This blog is new to me but I LOVE it. Caroline has managed to articulate–and provide guidelines for!–the way I want to approach building my own wardrobe without really knowing it. I highly recommend reading her entire archives (it won’t take long), but these posts are a great place to start: an easy way to add variety to your wardrobe and making decisions in the dressing room.
Aaand…that’s all I got, internet-wise. Real-life-wise I’m full to bursting with happy things. I have a hand-lettering lunch date with Ashley this weekend, several friends joining us for French Bread Friday tonight, hopes to visit a pumpkin patch with David and the girls, and two-thirds of a book to finish before I have to return it to the library. Should be a good time.
Happy weekend, friends!

Aren't they? These pics just don't do them justice. Thanks! 🙂
