I almost forgot to mention that on our way back from Illinois to Indiana we stopped for a few hours at Rachael‘s house. Yes, we spent all day at the Children’s Museum only a few days prior, but when you only see each other ever few years you take as much advantage of close proximity as you can.
Despite my attempt to photograph all our kiddos playing together, only a handful turned out. (Pox on you, rainy day, leaving me with mostly artificial lighting to work with!) Still, I think at least this one was worth the effort.
Let it be known that both children picked out their own outfits. Mila was in dress up heaven, and Lukey was more than happy to play along.
Little Nathan was charming.
And Isaac showed off his mad magna-tile and k’nex skills.
The older girls were at school, and when they came home they curled up with books so there wasn’t much chance to take their pictures. Which is a shame, really, since these are the last ones I took of them and they’ve grown up quite a bit in the last five years.
I sure wish they lived closer. Maybe someday…whaddaya say, guys? You up for trading in frigid winters for scorching summers?
