I am so ready for it to cool down around here.
I
know. I say this every year. Summer is misery, why is it so hot,
blar-dee-blar-dee-blar. But seriously. It is NOVEMBER and still in the
NINETIES. (Okay, high eighties more often than not (FINALLY) but still.
Unacceptable in my book.)
(Today I felt very pregnant. Just…full of baby. It made taking self-portraits feel extra weird.)
Someone asked the other day
how I’m liking the weather. I said call me when it’s at least 15 degrees
cooler. Heaven knows I’m not asking for snow, and I do like the
convenience of running to the mailbox without putting on shoes first.
All I really want is to start wearing layers without ending up a sweaty puddle of Jen.
Shoot. All I wanted today was to wear dark jeans and a long-sleeved shirt without ending up a sweaty puddle of Jen, but walking to the park with the kiddo in tow was more than enough to get that puddle started. Blech.
Never thought I’d say it, but right about now I kind of miss Utah winters.

My kids are home right now on a 2-hour delay for freezing fog. But I hate 90-degree weather, so…I'll take this one instead. 🙂
Jen says
I feel bad complaining about beautiful weather when everyone is getting frozen out, but a person can only handle so much heat before that person starts to go insane. And don't even get me started again on the mosquitoes…

I am ashamed to admit that I have been missing Utah a little bit as well, but only the fall. Absolutely not missing the winter.
Jen says
Point conceded. November in Utah sounds delightful. February, not so much.
