This week’s challenge is to interpret someone else’s outfit and make it your own. Erica chose today’s photo. Here’s what I was working with:

And here’s my version:
Button-down white top, neon bottom, and chucks. Plus, you know, the same pose, in case the similarities weren’t obvious enough. (Try to ignore the massively overgrown oleanders. They’re seriously out of control.)
Hot pink skirt and teal chucks for the win.
Also: giant pockets. All skirts should have giant pockets.

I'm loving the bright skirt with the chucks! It's such a fun look!
Jen says
Agreed. I've been meaning to try wearing chucks with a skirt but have always chickened out before. Turns out it works pretty well!
Ashley says
What a cute skirt! I love the pockets as well.
Jen says
Oh pockets. I should write an ode or something, I love them so.

Amen and amen! Skirts should always have giant pockets and teal chucks are the best! I used to have bright purple myself. Thanks for linking up!
Jen says
Ooh, purple! I've got red ones and grey with lime green lining, but I never even thought of purple… Maybe it's time to add to the collection.

Looking good! I wish I were brave enough to rock a hot pink skirt!
Jen says
Do it! It's strangely liberation, especially for someone like me who is "not a pink person." ๐

If this statement still stands at the end of the week, I am totally making myself an award. JUST WATCH ME DO IT
