Her crib.
This photo is terrible quality so you can’t tell, but she gouged quite the chunk out of that left spot. |
The dining room stools.
She had dark varnish chips all over her face after this one. |
The TV remote.
Notice both the animal cracker crumbs and the chunk missing from the DVD button. So gross. |
Her board books.
Turns out the caterpillar wasn’t the only one who was very hungry. |
When she used her teeth to rip open the spine of an empty 3-ring
binder to pull out and eat the cardboard inside, I realized maybe this
is more than just normal teething behavior. But what do you do about a baby who chews on
everything–especially paper and cardboard–with such enthusiasm? Please tell me she will just grow out
of it and our house won’t always look like a family of beavers lives
here.

I was totally laughing out loud. The DVD button! The chunks of books! AWESOME! We have totally gnawed-up bunkbeds and an end table, but Mila takes the prize for those books.

Oh, the books. She loves looking at them–and heaven knows I want to encourage that–but when she takes a break from "reading" to take a bite out of a page, I just don't even know what to do. It's out of control.

aww. i wonder if she has a iron deficiency like aunt becky's kid who craved cardboard. ice is a good choice if she really does.

I've been thinking the same thing. I'll ask the pediatrician to run some tests at her next appointment.
Elizabeth Newlin says
I was gonna say, maybe you should ask the pediatrician. Could definitely be a simple vitamin thing. That's wild!
Jen says
I hope it's something simple…or that she outgrows it soon. How can I keep books in our house with a giant termite running around? 🙂

"I eat box. I feel better!" Best quote ever.
Jen says
Definitely. 🙂
