Nearly a month ago, my brother’s wife gave birth to their first child. Little Miss Chloe will be living in Ecuador for a couple more weeks, and then finally we’ll get to meet her.
Last night, my husband’s sister gave birth to their first child. Sweet baby James is down in Tucson and I don’t know when we’re going to have time to go visit him. Soon, I hope.
My first niece and nephew within a few weeks of each other. And neither of them close enough for me to cuddle and kiss on. What’s a baby hungry auntie supposed to do? Skype just ain’t the same. It’s not fair.
It is happy and exciting, though.
(Now I just have to figure out a way to get a cousin for both of them. It’s the least I can do.)
