On our way home from the ‘vo we stopped in the ‘slow for a couple days. It was the first time we’d all been together since Kim’s wedding in April. While I realize that’s not a very long time to be apart, it seemed like forever. Plus we had two new additions–Trevor and Chloe–so it was a bigger party than ever. There was Texas sheet cake and Wii Fit Plus and Mom’s buttermilk pancakes and attempted photo shoots and so much laughter.
One night after dinner, we went out back to the fire pit and made s’mores. Trevor had brought sparklers (Yay!) which made for a good time.
Somehow, Sam attached a sparkler to his roasting stick. It was a little frightening.
This is my new favorite picture of David. Best face ever. You can tell he’s not thrilled about me snapping away, but bless him, he’s a always good sport when I pull out my camera.
Finally it got dark enough to have some real fun.
I suggested we do some light painting with the sparklers. Nobody had heard of that, so David demonstrated for us.
It was a big hit.
Brad made a heart for his two girls.
Brad, Sam, Kim, and David combined forces to make the world a happier place.
And David, in true David form, drew a monster.
S’mores, pyrotechnics and the best family ever. What more could a girl want?
