Mila & David chilled out and watched some Sesame Street while I took outfit photos.
She specifically asks for “eh-mo” these days. What is it with kids and Elmo? I just do not see the appeal. Also, there are a TON of new characters since I watched it when I was little. Who the heck is this Abby muppet person thing? And Baby Bear? Where did he come from? And will someone please tell me what is up with this Mr. Noodle dude?
Snuffleupagus doesn’t get nearly enough screen time these days, which is a shame. And whatever happened to Super Grover? I mean, Grover still has a regular little segment, but he was always one of my faves and it doesn’t seem like he’s that big a deal anymore.
It’s stuff like this–and the fact that Sesame Street is in its FORTY-THIRD season–that makes a person feel old. Wearing burgundy tights makes it a little easier to cope, though.
dress: Boden / shoes: Famous Footwear / belt: Kohl’s / tights: Target (I think)

Ted, my 21 month old, is also a huge Elmo ("Em-mo") and Cookie (Ka-Kee) Monster too. Can I just throw in my two cents about the disgrace it is that cookie monster has been forced to change his diet? Veggie Monster…seriously?!

I'm all for a well-balanced diet, but yes. C is for cookie…shouldn't that still be good enough for everyone?

Don't know if I'll be much help to you, Stella, since we're Netflix devotees and I've never used Redbox in my life. But if you still want to chat, leave me another comment and I'll get back to you.
